Workload Staffing Reports
Workload Staffing Reports (WSRs) are a joint union/management problem-solving tool for documenting and addressing unresolved workload and staffing problems.
WSRs give nurses the opportunity to make recommendations on how to improve a situation, while, from a legal perspective, provides documentation that the nurse has drawn management’s attention to an unsafe, or potentially unsafe situation.
It is important that nurses fill out WSRs in order to resolve workload issues at SBH.
Workload Staffing Reports Committee Reps
Worksite 5’s WSR committee consists of up to six members who are elected annually at our AGM. Reps serve a two-year overlapping term (three members elected in odd years and three members elected in even years).
The committee is currently chaired by Jocelyne Mann with a full team of six members to manage the WSR’s as they flow through the office. The team is also supported by the Vice President of Worksite 5.
The Committee meets regularly to review the WSR received in the Worksite 5 office. They also provided education with respect to WSRs upon request.
