Union Dues
As per the MNU collective agreement – as a nurse employed by St. Boniface Hospital union dues are automatically deducted off your bi-weekly paycheque.
As of January 1, 2021 union dues are deducted as follows:
- For full-time and part-time nurses – $40.00 bi-weekly
- For casual nurses – $40.00 for any pay period in which you worked
Of the $40.00 deducted each pay period:
- $30.00 is the MNU provincial dues portion (which funds the operation of the provincial office)
- $10.00 is the Local dues portion (which funds the operation of the Local 5 office
